This is one of my favorite quotations ever. It is too easy to think that we are safe in our own little protective bubbles and unsafe in foreign countries, but if we are protected by God we are as safe in the slums as in our beds at home - and if we are not protected by Him, we are in as much danger at home as we are in a militant foreign country. He can hold us in His hand and protect us no matter where we are.
